One of the dramatic views at Hunley Hall. HUNLEY HALL GOLF CLUB, SALTBURN

New course with 29 holes and several 18 hole cards. Lower holes have water hazards, hedges, and trees. Higher holes like "Jaws" use the hillsides to gather shots and conceal greens. The scenery was let down by the hard fairways and poor greens.

Several holes feature water hazards. The course is well designed and sometimes testing. The dry rough and wide fairways may lead to recklessness but out of bounds and gorse bushes await.

The high handicapper can expect a steady round but should consider the hazards in planning shots. Most greens are open and allow safe approaches for chipping.

Holes Of Note:

Dicken's Dilemma - par 3 to a small green with water in front and right.

Walker's Gully - par 5, right dogleg with sloping fairway through a valley to a hidden green.

Snaith's - par 4, 300 yards signature hole with a very elevated tee but ob on left.

Recommended Handicap 28

Jon says:
"good design but unrewarding in
its present condition"
Steve says:
"Badly maintained with the slowest greens I've ever seen!"
