Morecambe's 2nd green.MORECAMBE GOLF CLUB
Despite being just 5,600 yards this Dr MacKenzie designed course offers both testing golf and dramatic sea views. It has blind shots, twisting fairways, water hazards, two tier greens, and is very exposed to wind.

Morecambe's par 4 13th hole with the bay behind. The bent trees reflect the typically windy conditions. The course was in excellent condition apart from some grass cuttings. However the strong winds made this course very hard indeed because it has the heavy rough of a traditional British links. The double tiers and subtle contours of the brisk greens mean strategy and accuracy are essential for a good round on this fine golf course.

The high handicapper will be severely punished for any wayward shots by the heavy rough, trees, and hazards. Concentrate on hitting fairways, getting close to greens, and chipping onto them.

Holes Of Note:

4th - o/b left on the tee shot to this long left doglegged hole makes par 4 an achievement. 6th - par 4 with o/b left and water on right crossing in front of the green.

12th - one of many challenging par 3's with excellent greens.

13th - into the wind the blind tee shot on this par 4 is followed by another long blind shot to the small green.
