RAMSIDE GOLF CLUBWell maintained golf resort set with hills and numerous water hazards offering a challenge to most standards of golfer. Three nines (Princes, Bishops, Cathedral) with subtly different characters. |
The course was in good condition with consistent speeds on the greens. The tree lined fairways were firm and often gave tee shots extra distance, making the choice of line important. The high handicapper will need to concentrate on hitting fairways and playing sensible recoveries form the trees and rough. Use the layup areas provided in the hole designs rather than taking on shots over the doglegs.
Holes Of Note:
6th - par 4 of only 206 yards, needing an approach to green surrounded by water.
8th - par 4 dogleg needs 220 yard carry over a lake or power fade round right dogleg.
15th - longish par 3 with water around green.
26th - long par par 4 running between 2 lakes.
Recommended Handicap 22
