The stunning views can distract the high handicapper from the need for consistent shot making. The rough is punishing, especially the gorse, so you can lose golf balls and time. Play restrained tee shots on the dog legs and narrowing fairways, and you will be calm on the small fast greens. Avoid in late afternoon as the strong wind will blow almost any straight shot on the last six holes down hill into the rough.
Holes Of Note:
3rd - shortish (302 yd) par 4 with an almost right angled dog leg. OB and a stream along right edge of the fairway make driving the corner dangerous and almost impossible.
18th - 166 yard par 3 requiring a 6 iron at most from an elevated tee. A very strong right to left wind makes keeping the ball low an absolute must.
Recommended Handicap 28
