Vale of Glamorgan - Lakes Course 18th green.VALE OF GLAMORGAN - LAKES COURSE
One of two fine courses in a golf resort that features a range, practice areas, and accomodation. Well worth playing as it combines some hilly parkland holes with many American resort style holes to give a challenging and memorable round.

Parts of the course were a little wet under foot but not bad for November and a course with so many water hazards.

Vale of Glamorgan - Lakes Course 12th green. The Strokesaver makes the risk versus reward very apparent on some holes. The longer hitting player will find some of the par fives reachable in two but being able to draw and fade will be equally helpful on the doglegs. Both trees and water come into play so position off the tee is needed for a low score.

The high handicapper will find most holes a fair challenge. The many water hazards mean choosing between going around or confidence in going over, so consider laying up and chipping over.

Holes Of Note:

4th - long draw from tee on this left dogleg leaves short iron to bunkered green with water in front but expect to lay up.

7th - accuracy vital on first two shots on this undulating par 5 across hillside, otherwise mounds and right o/b in front of green will be in play.

12th - attractive and challenging par 4's with second shot to island green.

15th - at 270 yards this left dogleg par 4 requires an iron shot to open green protected by ponds and trees.

18th - par 5 with green attractively set in lake, water and trees put premium on accuracy of first two shots.
