The course was in excellent condition apart from two bunkers under repair. The abundance of growing trees with stakes may help the wayward tee shot. The upturned saucers of the USGA greens make approach shots interesting with US style rough in the runoff areas. Strategy and accuracy are essential for a good round.The high handicapper will need to concentrate on avoiding the hazards and playing for accuracy not length. The firm, fast greens will not stop many long approach shots and are protected by runoffs into rough so look for layup areas in the hole designs use them.
Holes Of Note:
3rd - par 4 teeing off through an avenue of trees, avoiding a pond to allow an accurate approach to the green.
7th - par 3 over water to a large, very contoured green set in trees.
8th - par 4 requiring a well placed iron shot from the tee to set up a wedge over water to the green.
16th - uphill par 4 needs a long drive avoiding the large bunker to allow a short iron to the green.
