Faster paced and more watchable than Tim Brooke -Taylor's Golf Clubs, this show is also running on Discovery Home and Leisure. In each half hour episode Mike Reid plays several holes on a famous golf course with the Pro. The show features animated Strokesaver graphics of the featured holes and reasonable camera work that emphasises the angles and lies of shots.
I liked the "Pro tip" feature which seems a good way to build in the instructional content featured in most of these sort of golf programmes. These tips are usually relevant to the specific course, the Pro's seem to be acting quite naturally and deliver their tuition/tips in a personal style.
Mike Reid is a reasonable player who knows his limitations. He can also be fairly entertaining whilst he plays which helps keep the programme going. His friendly but competitive approach is quite funny to watch.
